Neal wants to know if balloons with more helium than the recommended amount will float longer than balloons with the recommended amount of helium.

He makes a prediction that the more helium he uses the longer the balloon will float.

He gets 12 balloons 9" latex balloons. They have an recommended capacity of .007 m3 .  They can hold more.  He fills the first three with the recommended amount of helium.  Next, for trail one,  he fills 3 with .001m3 more helium than recommended.  He then, for trial 2,  fills three with .002m3 more than recommended.  He then, for trial 3,  fills three with .003m3 more than recommended.  Luckily they don't pop! He puts a geotracker on every balloon to signal its altitude and where it goes, programmed with the number of that balloon, so he can track all his balloons.  He records the time and releases all the balloons at the same time.  He then tracks his balloons on his computer.  He has decided that if a balloon stops moving for more than 10 minutes, it will indicate the balloon has landed.  His Balloons filled to the recommended capacity floated for 18 hours.  Trial 1 balloons floated for 21 hours.  Trial 2 balloons floated for 23.5 hours and Trial 3 balloons floated for 25 hours.  Neal was tired of tracking his balloons.  He went to bed!
