What is Physical Geology?

Geology is the study of the Earth. Physical geology is an introductory class that I hope will open cadets up to the amazing forces and processes that shape our planet, and in fact shape our own lives in more ways than you might think. During this course, we will be studying the fundamental principles of geology, emphasizing physical aspects of the Earth, including earth materials (ROCKS!!!), plate tectonics, and the effects of water, wind and ice on the Earth’s surface.
