It is VITAL that you carefully read each chapter. To that end, I require each cadet to submit notes taken while reading. I recommend an outline format, as shown below. NOTES MUST INCLUDE THE ENTIRE CHAPTER!
Suggested outline format:

Subheading:
Important Idea/word: (State the idea/word, and DESCRIBE/DEFINE it)
