Lab Equipment Introduction

In the lab, there are specific tools that we use to help gather data as well as to keep us safe as we do our experiments. It is vital that all scientists are familiar with these tools, how to use them correctly, and what to call them. One one hand, this allows us to accurately and efficiently gather any data we need. On the other hand, knowing the names of the equipment also allows us to communicate with other scientists effectively.

Before looking at the powerpoint about lab equipment, try to fill out the lab equipment worksheet. See if you can guess the purpose of each piece of equipment just by how it looks. When you have given it your best shot, go through the powerpoint to see if you were right, and correct any guesses that were wrong. Make sure to turn in the corrected worksheet when you finish.
